Frequently Asked Questions

What's Bronze?

Imagine the Bronze standard like having your high school diploma in dancing. It contains most of the elements you need to be an excellent dancer, so feel comfortable and confident with that particular dance (that you finished Bronze with) and can do it to any music on any dance floor.

As a guy you'll be able to grab a girl who you've never danced with before, and who isn't even necessarily familiar with that dance, and dance with her. As a girl, you'll have the confidence to say, "yes" when someone asks you to dance, whether they're new or even if they're an expert, without needing alcohol, because you know you can dance competently. Nice, right?

We've divided Bronze into 4 levels, with Bronze 1 being the beginner anyone-can-do-it level, and getting more challenging from there. If you're a beginner, you'll be comfortable in any of our Bronze 1 classes.

What's the age range at your studio?

Minimum age is 16 years old. Some of this stuff can be intense, so you'll want to be in good shape. Some of the clubs we go to on our Nights Out have an age minimum that you'll have to meet.

Do I need a partner?

 Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo - No partner needed!!!

How much are the classes?

The regular group classes are just $5 each with a membership. Without a membership they're $10 each. So be a member. Heck the membership pays for itself!

How do I schedule a lesson?

Call us at 527-8694 to schedule your free introductory lesson. We'll explain the classes to you. If you want to just drop in and see a class, you can do that too.

What times are you available to teach private lessons?

Between 3 and 9pm Monday to Friday and Weekends from 11 - 6pm. Other times are available by special appointment.

When are your classes?

 Calendar

What do I need to wear?

Anything that won't get you arrested.

Do we have to switch partners?

No, you can stick with one person.

How much are private lessons?

$29 for a twenty-five minute lesson.

Should I take a private, then a class, or a class, then a private?

It doesn't matter. You will learn faster with private lessons. If you want to get a jump on things, start with that. Group classes are less expensive, but you still learn to dance.

How long does it take to learn to dance?

It's different for everybody, both because everyone learns at a different speed, and because "good" means different things to different people. If you have never danced before, you can become what you probably now consider to be good in just a few lessons, but as you get more advanced, what you consider good might change.

Do I need special shoes?

Nope.

Can I take a free group class before I buy a membership?

When you enroll in a membership, your first group class is free. We'll let you use this lesson even without a membership so you can "try before you buy." So the short answer is yes.
